Pharmacy Residency Program Application Requirements
The Baptist Medical Center South Pharmacy Residency Program will accept two PGY1 pharmacy residents. Applications are accepted through PHORCAS and are reviewed by the program’s Residency Advisory Council. The applicants chosen for an interview will be notified either by email and/or phone. Paper applications and those received by email will not be accepted or considered.
- Application submission material should be submitted through PHORCAS (program code 51012) by January 5, 2025.

- The National Matching Service program code is 218113.
- One must prove competence in both spoken and written English language.
- We do not sponsor visas, therefore the applicant must prove the ability to get a visa if needed.
- The Residency Advisory Council will review applications once the stated criteria are met. Candidates who meet the above criteria are not guaranteed an interview as time, space, and economic capacities are limited.
Applications must meet the following minimum criteria to be considered for an interview:
- One must be a graduate of an ACPE-accredited pharmacy school that is approved by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy before resident orientation.
- One must be able to show academic achievements and interests that model the philosophy of this residency, including but not limited to: high academic standards, compatible practice interests, evidence of leadership and community involvement.
The applicant must submit the following:
- Completed application utilizing PHORCAS
- Current Curriculum Vitae
- Personal Statement/Letter of Intent
- Official transcript from college or school of pharmacy
- Three letters of recommendation (clinical references preferred)
- ASHP National Matching Service Number
