Joshua Maher, DO

Dr. Joshua Maher graduated from medical school at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, Alabama and completed a residency in Family Medicine at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. He also completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at Prisma Health/University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina, where he treated USC athletes.

Board certified in Family Medicine, his clinical interests include Ultrasound Guided Procedures, Knee and Shoulder Injuries and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.

A proud member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Maher graduated from medical school with honors and received a teaching award from the department of family medicine at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.

A sports fanatic, Dr. Maher enjoys attending any and all sporting events, as well as spending time with his wife and son, grilling, golfing and traveling.

Dr. Maher’s favorite words to live by can be found in Philippians 2:3-4, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather in humility, value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others.”
