About Me

Dr. Carlos Gadea received a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences degree from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. He received his medical degree from the Escuela Autonoma de Ciencias Medicas de Centro America. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut, Farmington and fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky. He is board-certified in internal medicine and rheumatology. He is also a member of the American College of Rheumatology.

Dr. Gadea focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of autoimmune diseases affecting the joints and soft tissues. He uses a variety of advanced techniques, including ultrasound-guided steroid injections, to relieve osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel syndrome, plantar fasciitis and other chronic conditions.

When he’s not caring for patients, Dr. Gadea loves spending time with his wife and fellow physician, Dr. Ximena Ruiz, and their son. They enjoy trying new restaurants, shopping and being outdoors.
