About Me
Dr. Benjamin Harman received his medical degree from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, Alabama and completed his residency at the Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program (MFMRP) in Montgomery, Alabama. He also completed a clinical internship at Baptist Medical Center South’s School of Medical Laboratory Science.
Board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, he has clinical interests in Comprehensive Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine as a supplement for traditional patient care. Dr. Harman is a proud member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians and the Alabama Osteopathic Medical Association.
During his residency, Dr. Harman received the Montgomery County Medical Society Outstanding Resident Award, the Samuel J. Saliba, MD Excellence in Teaching Award, and Thomas G. Kincer, MD Achievement of Academic Excellence Award. Upon completing his residency, Dr. Harman was also recognized as Chief Resident.
As a faculty physician at the Montgomery Family Medicine Residency Program, Dr. Harman looks forward to helping train and provide supervision for first, second, and third-year residents while also serving the residents of Central Alabama.
Married, Dr. Harman enjoys functional fitness, road cycling and volunteering with the Beauregard Volunteer Fire Department in his spare time.
