Let’s Pretend Hospital
The volunteers host 2,500 first graders
each spring and treat them to a simulated hospital experience. From the
admissions process, through surgery, radiology, the lab, the nursery, to
the business office, the children are exposed to all areas of the hospital
so that their first real hospital experience is less threatening.

Each year the volunteers raise money
through the "Rolling Store", selling newspapers and special fund raising
projects to fund scholarships for nurses and allied health students.

Summer Teen Program
Students 14 years and older, who have
maintained a B average and have a desire to serve the community are
welcome for the summer. This program allows students to take an active
role in community service, learn responsibility in a working environment
and become familiar with careers in health care. They are assigned to help
in many of the areas that are normally filled by the volunteers.
Applications are taken during the month of April.
Call (334) 286-2974 for an
