If you’re staying with us for a while...

The orthopaedics staff consists of nurses, orthopedic technicians, anesthesia staff, scrub technicians, patient care technicians (PCTs) and unit clerks who provide care to patients who need acute orthopedic care (i.e. those who have undergone total joint replacements, are suffering from fractured hips or bones, or require skeletal traction to keep bones in place.)

Orthopedic technicians are on staff especially to help patients get to and from their beds and chairs, and to the bathroom. The “ortho techs” are also trained as PCTs, along with other PCTs, who assist the nurses with non-sterile dressings, catheterizations, vital signs, baths and other functions.

Let Baptist Health meet all of your orthopedic needs.
