October 2004 -- Linda Gipson, RN has been appointed to the position of Vice President of Patient Care Services for Baptist Medical Center South. Linda has relocated to Montgomery from the Tampa, FL area and most recently, she served as Vice President at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. She has held other management positions at University Hospital and Health Systems in Cleveland, Ohio, Case Western University Hospital and hospitals in Florida. She received a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Maryland and a Master's in nursing from Duke University. In addition, she has an MBA from Cleveland State University and is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of South Florida. Linda is also a retired Lt. Colonel in the Army Reserve and today serves as a special consultant for Reserve Affairs. A warm and receptive individual, Linda is passionate about patient care and being hands on and involved. At Baptist Medical Center South, her responsibilities include all nursing and patient care clinical areas.
