Camp Celebration

Loss impacts different people in different ways. In children, grief can be expressed through various attitudes and emotions, including withdrawal, anger or seeking attention.

To help children coping with a loss or who have experienced a traumatic event, Baptist Hospice is hosting Camp Celebration from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 12 at Camp Grandview, 4700 Camp Grandview Rd., in Millbrook. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. This one-day camp is for children 5 to 17-years-old.

The daylong program will help participants face their grief and express emotions through a variety of activities. Participants will also be provided with skills that will help them through the ongoing grief process.

The cost of the camp is $5 per child or $10 per family and scholarships are available. Please make checks payable to Baptist Hospice. Pre-registration is required by March 28.
