Russ Tyner

Russ Tyner joined Baptist Health as president and chief executive officer in 2004. He is responsible for charting the strategic direction of Baptist Health.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Tyner served as senior vice president and chief operating officer at UAB Medical West in Birmingham. He is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience and holds a bachelor's in communications/journalism from the University of Alabama. In 2004, he completed a Global Leadership in Healthcare Program through the University of Michigan School of Business.


Robin Barca, RN

Robin Barca joined Baptist Health in 2002 as senior vice president and chief operating officer (COO). Her COO duties include providing operational guidance and support for Baptist Medical Center East, Baptist Medical Center South and Prattville Baptist Hospital. Additionally, she has oversight of system operations for information technology, care transformation, organizational development, home health and hospice services, disease management, pastoral care, residency programs and the Institute for Patient Safety and Medical Simulation.

Prior to moving to Montgomery, Robin was senior vice president and administrator of Methodist Healthcare Central Hospital in Memphis. Her extensive healthcare experience includes her tenure as executive vice president/COO for Methodist Healthcare - Jackson Hospitals in Jackson, Miss. and vice president, clinical services for Wellmont Health System - Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tenn.


Katrina Belt
Chief Financial Officer

Katrina Belt received her bachelor of arts in business administration from Huntingdon College and a master's of public administration at New York University. Since joining the UAB Health System in July 2002, Katrina has played a key role in public finance, affiliation and acquisition transactions for the health system. 

Prior to her arrival at UAB, Katrina acted as liaison with IBM for the New York City Department of Finance to facilitate a citywide e-government initiative, and as a project consultant to the New York City Partnership and Chamber of Commerce in the aftermath of September 11, 2001. 

Katrina continues to serve as a resource to the UAB Health System entities for financing transactions. She has also held former posts including interim chief financial officer for Baptist Health, associate director of the Alabama-West Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church, assistant director of Admission for Huntingdon College and ombudsman for the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at NYU.


Julia Ventress

Julia Ventress, FACHE

Julia Ventress has served as vice president of Baptist Health since 2004. She has 10 years of health care management experience and currently oversees strategic planning, business development, physician recruitment, practice management, physician billing office, marketing, public relations, political and regulatory affairs and Baptist Ventures including joint ventures with Select Physical Therapy, American Home Patient, Montgomery Imaging, PriMeds and Montgomery Surgical Center.

She has recruited more than 60 physicians to Montgomery and has lead the strategic planning process to expand services at all three Baptist Hospitals and joint ventures. Julia has also developed new medical practices for Baptist Health including the recruitment of physicians and staff, oversight of construction and daily operations of primary care, gastroenterology and hepatology, general surgery and wound care clinics. Her most recent accomplishment includes the development and oversight of the construction of Taylor Medical Complex, an 85,000 square foot ambulatory surgery center and physician office building.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Julia served as assistant planning and strategy officer for UAB Health System in Birmingham, Ala.

After receiving a bachelor of business administration from the University of Mississippi, Julia continued her education earning a master's in business administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), a certificate of gerontology from UAB and a master of science in health administration from UAB. In 2004, she completed a Global Leadership in Healthcare Program through the University of Michigan School of Business. Julia is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives, an adjunct professor with the University of Alabaman at Birmingham, a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development and is actively involved in the community serving as president of EMERGE Montgomery and through service on several boards including The Montgomery Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Montgomery, KidOne Transport and the WSFA Advisory Board. She is also actively involved in Junior League and is a member of First United Methodist Church.
