Baptist Health to host a live nativity scene

Montgomery — As a way to celebrate Christmas, Baptist Health and the Wyndridge neighborhood are hosting a live nativity scene from 6-8:30 p.m., Saturday Dec. 17 and Sunday Dec. 18 at the Baptist Medical Center East campus, 400 Taylor Rd. in Montgomery.

The Wyndridge neighborhood has hosted a live nativity scene for the past few years, and is now partnering with Baptist Health to draw more people from the community to hear the message of the gospel. This is a family oriented event and is free of charge. Donations are welcome.

Baptist Health and the Wyndridge neighborhood are not hoping to portray a factual nativity scene, but only to center on the good news of the birth of Jesus Christ. Children will be in costume and animals such as a camel, donkey, cow and sheep will be helping create the atmosphere of the nativity scene. An automated narration of the Christmas story will be playing.

The community is allowed to walk up to the nativity scene to view the animals and characters. There is also a designated driving route for those wishing to stay in cars to view the event.
