Jim joined Montgomery Baptist Hospital in 1974 as a clinical chaplain.  Jim attended Mississippi State University and graduated from Mississippi College with a bachelor of arts degree in 1968. He graduated from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, in 1971 with a master of divinity degree and in 1983 with a doctor of ministry degree.

Jim received one unit of clinical pastoral education through the General Hospital Network in Louisville, and four units through Baptist Health System in Birmingham, Ala. Jim became a board certified chaplain through the Association of Professional Chaplains in 2000.

Jim is a Baptist minister who was ordained in 1973 by Mountain Brook Baptist Church in Birmingham.

Michele has worked as the administrative assistant for the Pastoral Care Department since January 1992. 

She earned a bachelor of arts degree from Auburn University at Montgomery in 1990.
   

Greg Nowell, M.Div.

Greg joined Baptist Health as a clinical chaplain in 2006. Prior to joining Baptist South, Greg served as a staff chaplain with hospitals in Columbus, Mississippi, and Selma, Ala. 

Greg graduated from Troy State University – Dothan, with a bachelor of science degree in business administration in 1993. He graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, with a master of divinity degree in 1999. 

He was ordained by First Baptist Church, Headland, Ala., in 2000.  His clinical pastoral education was completed through Methodist Hospital of Dallas where he received a basic unit and at Baptist Health in Pensacola, Fla., where he completed four units.
   

Ryan Yaun, M.Div.

Ryan joined Baptist Health in 2008 as a clinical chaplain with Baptist Hospice. He currently serves as a clinical chaplain with Baptist Medical Center South.  

Ryan earned a bachelors degree in religion and philosophy from Shorter College in Rome, Ga., in 1999, as well as a master of divinity from the McAfee School of Theology at Mercer University in 2003. He has also completed eight units of clinical pastoral education through the Care and Counseling Center of Georgia. 

He is a Baptist minister, receiving his ordination from Northside Drive Baptist Church in Atlanta.

Larry joined the Baptist Health family in 1980 as a clinical chaplain at Baptist South. He is presently at the Baptist East campus. Larry is a native of North Georgia. He grew up in a Southern Baptist church.

Larry attended Samford University in Birmingham, Ala., where he received a bachelor of arts in 1974. Larry also received his master of divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky. in 1980. 

Larry was ordained by the First Baptist Church in Attalla, Ala. in 1975. Larry cherishes each day as a gift of grace and finds fulfilling excitement in every opportunity to join persons in need with the good news of the Gospel.
   

Alicia Cargill, M.Edu.

Alicia joined the Baptist Health family as a clinical chaplain at Baptist Medical Center East in November 2013. She received a bachelor in liberal arts degree from Auburn University at Montgomery in 2001. She received a master's in christian education from Asbury Theological Seminary, in Wilmore, Ky. in 2005. 

Alicia completed her first unit of clinical pastoral education from Morning Pilgrim Baptist Church, Montgomery, Ala. She also received four units of clinical pastoral education from the Baptist Health System in San Antonio, Texas. 

Alicia was ordained as a deacon by the Alabama-West Florida conference of the United Methodist Church in 2009.

David has been a part-time hospital chaplain at Prattville Baptist Hospital since 2007. He is Wing Chaplain for the 908th Airlift Wing at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Ala.  

For 16 years, David pastored churches in Warren, Miss., and Prattville, Ala..  David earned his bachelor of arts degree in Bible and history from Bob Jones University in Greenville, S. C. in 1984. In 1989, he earned his master of divinity degree from Detroit Bible Theological Seminary in Allen Park, Mich.  In 2003, David earned his doctor of ministry degree from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, Va.

Larry joined the Baptist Health family in 1987 and currently serves a clinical chaplain with Baptist Hospice. Prior to joining Baptist Health, Larry served churches in Marshall and DeKalb counties in North Alabama. 

Larry received four units of clinical pastoral education through Baptist Medical Centers, Birmingham, Ala. in 1984. Larry is a 1979 graduate of Samford University, Birmingham, and a 1983 graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas, with a master of divinity degree.  

Larry was ordained by Jackson Way Baptist Church in Huntsville, Ala. in 1979.
   

James Greene, M.Div.

James serves as a part-time chaplain with Baptist Hospice. James graduated from Mississippi College in 1960 and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Ky., in 1964 with a master of divinity degree. 

James was ordained by Eutaw Baptist Church in Eutaw, Ala. in 1957. During the last 50 years, he has served churches in Indiana and Alabama. For the last 32 years, James has served as pastor of Lowndesboro Baptist Church in Lowndesboro, Ala. James retired as director of education at Baptist Medical Center South in 2000 after 25 years of service. James has served at Baptist Hospice since 2007.

Behavioral Health Chaplain

Charles has been with Baptist Health serving as a part-time behavioral health chaplain at Crossbridge Behavioral Health since 2011. Charles earned his bachelor of arts degree from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. in 1973. He received a master of divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans in 1975.  He also received a doctor of education in psychology and counseling from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in 1978.

Charles was ordained at First Baptist Church in Centerpoint in his hometown of Birmingham, Ala. Charles has served churches in Alabama as pastor, and education and counseling director.
