Description

This 1-1/2 hour class focuses on the risk factors of developing type 2 diabetes and what can be done to delay or prevent the disease. The focus will be on the positive effects of regular activity and weight loss. Practical ways to get moving and to decrease extra calories will be discussed. Participants will be encouraged to set personal goals and will be given the option to weigh in at the center to monitor their progress.

Cost for this class is $30.

The Baptist Health Center for Diabetes and Nutrition Education offers a number of classes to help improve nutrition and monitor diabetes. Classes are taught by a registered nurse or dietitian. To register for this class, please call (334) 213-6360.
