“Jeff has an excellent track record of building strong physician, staff and community relationships and ensuring high levels of organizational performance,” Robin Barca, Baptist Health’s chief operating officer, said. “He is an excellent choice to follow Peter Selman and continue the legacy of outstanding performance at Baptist Medical Center East.”
Baptist Medical Center East was recently named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals® by Truven Health Analytics formerly the healthcare business of Thomson Reuters. This was third time Baptist East was recognized with this honor, and the second year Baptist East was the only hospital in Alabama to receive this recognition.
Upon Rains’ arrival, Peter Selman will immediately assume responsibility as chief executive officer at Baptist Medical Center South.
